Welcome to DDC Advocacy—and to The Active Voice, our new company blog.
As anyone involved in public affairs knows, changes in technology, the media, and lobbying have had a tremendous impact on American politics. Amid all the change, one thing has become clear: the participation of informed constituents is playing an ever-increasing role in how issues are decided.
No matter what you call it—advocacy, grassroots, net-roots—the role and practice of participatory democracy has evolved dramatically, even in the past few years, and it is arguably more important to the political process than ever before.
For 13 years, our company has been at the forefront of innovation in the practice of advocacy. From the start, we have sought to create new, better ways to help constituents get engaged on issues that affect them and participate in the political process—without losing sight of the tried-and-true principles that make advocacy effective, regardless of whether it’s through a letter, a meeting, or an online conversation.
Just like the political environment, we too continue to evolve. Thanks to significant growth, expansion, and innovation in the past several years, I am proud to announce an unprecedented service offering in the public affairs space: true full-service advocacy—spanning strategic expertise and complete execution capabilities—from a single company.
With this new evolution comes a new name—DDC Advocacy—because advocacy, plain and simple, is our mission. We help our clients empower their advocates and achieve real results through innovative, tailored advocacy strategies and expertly managed execution.
Along with the new name, we are launching this entirely redesigned website and a company blog, The Active Voice. In this space, you’ll find insights into what’s happening in public policy, best practices new and old for effective advocacy, and how you can achieve greater impact in your public affairs efforts.
I encourage you to check back often—or better yet, subscribe to our RSS feed—for our latest ideas on advocacy, relevant news, and more. I also welcome your thoughts, so please feel free to leave a comment below or to contact us directly.
Thank you for reading, and once again, welcome to DDC Advocacy. We look forward to working with you on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
