Who is John Dunagan
For DDC Advocacy, Senior Vice President John Dunagan designs and leads the execution of large-scale, multi-faceted advocacy programs across the U.S. and abroad.
John brings more than 17 years of professional experience in corporate, political, and non-profit grassroots campaign strategy. John is an expert in mobilizing advocates by seamlessly integrating online and offline approaches to recruit and activate stakeholders on client issues.
Prior to joining DDC Advocacy, John was a founding member of CrossLink Strategy Group. He also served as the executive director of the Bush-Cheney ’04 re-election campaign in Michigan, where he managed and executed statewide grassroots, communications, coalition, and legal strategies in the key battleground state. John also served as vice president at the public affairs firms Edelman and Powell Tate, where he managed national and statewide issue campaigns.
John frequently lectures on topics ranging from grassroots lobbying strategy to earned media and political campaign management for organizations, such as the RNC, NRCC, and AMPAC.
John graduated Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Oswego with a degree in Communications and Business Administration.
