Grassroots Leader DDC Hires Business Development Veteran
February 3, 2009—Washington, D.C.—Democracy Data & Communications, LLC (DDC) today announced that it has hired Brett Davis as its new Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In this critical political period, DDC continues to expand its ability to provide integrated grassroots programs—similar to the techniques that proved highly effective in the 2008 Presidential election—for issue advocacy campaigns. In his new role, Davis will focus on helping DDC deliver its proven approach to grassroots to a growing audience of organizations facing tough upcoming policy battles.
“With significant leadership and policy changes and an ambitious legislative agenda taking shape, an increasing number of organizations are facing the need for effective public affairs solutions for mission-critical policy issues,” said B.R. McConnon, DDC’s CEO. “Brett will play a key role in our efforts to deliver solutions that will help these clients win.”
Davis joins DDC with more than 17 years of senior sales and marketing experience and a wealth of industry and business knowledge, having held senior leadership positions with successful high-growth companies, including Verizon Business, Cybertrust/TruSecure, and DIGEX, Inc. Throughout his career, Davis has consistently been able to help companies grow to become the largest providers in their category, driving significant growth by enabling the companies to reach and serve broader customer audiences effectively.
“The 2008 elections have created a new political dynamic on both the federal and state levels.” said Davis. “I look forward to helping DDC continue to bring their tremendous issue advocacy expertise to a growing number of organizations that need to make a measurable impact on their issues.”
