As Partner, Tom Benjamin brings nearly 20 years of experience providing strategy, development, and management of corporate and association advocacy campaigns.  At DDC Advocacy, Tom leverages that experience to oversee major client campaigns on high-profile issues. 

Tom's experience includes spearheading large client campaigns in the agriculture, energy, health care, and transportation sectors. Prior to joining DDC Advocacy, Tom spent 10 years at The Direct Impact Company, one of the then-largest grassroots campaign firms in the nation. Tom served as Executive Vice President, and guided many large client campaigns on issues ranging from international trade to medical liability reform to defense appropriations. Additionally, he spent a year in Brussels, Belgium, providing grassroots campaign consulting to Direct Impact’s parent company, Burson-Marsteller, and its European client base.

Tom received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Villanova University.  He lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife and three children.
