Peter Sherman
Senior Vice President, PAC Services
Peter Sherman has headed DDC Advocacy’s PAC Services division since November 2000. As senior vice president he is responsible for overseeing DDC Advocacy’s PAC Services division that assists DDC Advocacy’s clients with the administration of their political action committees, including compliance with federal and state campaign finance laws and regulations.
Sherman came to DDC Advocacy from Campaign Finance Consultants (CFC), a Washington, D.C.-based fundraising firm he co-founded in 1982. While at CFC, Sherman provided fundraising, strategic, public relations, and legal services to candidate committees, party committees, and not-for-profit organizations.
Sherman is an attorney whose private practice included providing legal services to Members of Congress, congressional candidates, party organizations, and political action committees in connection with federal and state campaign finance laws. Sherman also has experience in the legislative arena, having served on the staff of Congressman Gene Chappie (CA) from 1982 through 1986.
Sherman is a graduate of Catholic University Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review. He also has a Masters in Public Administration from the State University of New York at Albany, now known as the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy.
