Michael Shue
Vice President
As a Vice President at DDC Advocacy, Michael Shue serves as a principal strategist responsible for designing and executing major state, local, and national campaigns for DDC Advocacy’s Fortune 500 and top trade association clients. In this role, he brings nearly a decade’s worth of experience in engaging with top client leadership and working with a large campaign team to coordinate campaign activities and provide strategic counsel.
Prior to serving as a client strategist, Shue designed and built DDC Advocacy’s industry-leading high-touch phone outreach capability, the Advocacy Center. Under his leadership, the department grew from a simple blueprint to an enterprise with over 500 at-home outreach professionals, built on top of DDC Advocacy’s proprietary technology backbone.
Previously, Shue worked as an associate at Americans for Tax Reform during the 2002 election cycle, drafting press releases on the Taxpayer Protection Pledge and assisting in setting up state-based center-right coalitions across the country. After ATR, he took a position with the DCI Group working on key telecommunication and pharmaceutical issues. As a coalition manager, he worked with internal and external teams to design and implement a strategy to support key policy goals of his clients. A native Texan, Shue graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.
