Matthew Kiessling

Director

As the Director of the Advocacy Center, Matthew Kiessling focuses on managing constituent mobilization, helping clients to identify, educate, and activate their constituent base on crucial legislative issues.

Matthew brings to DDC Advocacy a decade of grassroots experience in both campaign and advocacy work at the state and local level.  Prior to joining DDC Advocacy, he consulted for a range of political clients on healthcare, energy, business, and legal reform issues.  Previously, he has written and developed campaign plans which included direct mail, grassroots mobilization, earned media and message development.  He has also filled multiple roles from grassroots to finance and management positions of both state and federal political campaigns.  Earlier in his career, Matthew worked extensively at the state party level on candidate recruitment and training initiatives, as well as GOTV efforts.  Since joining DDC Advocacy, Matthew has served in various roles within the Advocacy Center organization prior to taking on its direction.   

Matthew currently resides in Falls Church, Virginia and is expecting his first child in April.
