Technology Writer (contract)
DDC currently is searching for a Technical Writer for a temporary process documentation project estimated to require two to three months, with two to three weeks full time on site and the remaining time primarily spent working remotely.
We will be conducting an internal review documenting all of our major processes. In this position you will be responsible for producing written materials that include assessments of our procedures, quality assurance standards, and organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate must have the ability to conduct interviews on site with DDC Advocacy personnel and convert the information into detailed, concise, and standardized materials.
Requirements:
• 5-7 years professional writing experience
• Based in the National Capital Region and available for frequent on-site visits
• Outstanding writing skills and the ability to produce clear and concise documents
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills needed for conducting productive interviews with internal staff
• Assertiveness and attention to detail
• Experience in documenting process flows and standard operating procedures
• Understanding functionality and workflow of web-based applications and databases
• Experience in working with SharePoint
